What does it mean to speak of the paranormal? What, exactly, is metaphysical? These words bring about a host of confluences in the mind, but they are misnomers. Worse, they are saboteurs. They carry with them not only the fields of study which fall under their broad scope, but also the stigma of associations to negative connotations forged throughout history.

The philanderers and grifters of the world have done much to contribute to the cheapening of these terms. These enemies of truth have aided in the obfuscation of knowledge by way of their own greed. Vast fields of information have been razed, their worth plundered by conmen and charlatans.

The modern thinker considers themselves a skeptic aligned with science and rationale. The realms of the paranormal are thought to be antithetical to their paradigm and are summarily dismissed as fantasy. But this is neither skepticism nor science. To be a skeptic implies a questioning. It does not have a premeditated idea as its goal. It is a questioning of everything, especially ideas which have become commonly accepted. It is not a denial of knowledge but rather it is its pursuit. Science itself is not a set of ideas. It is a methodology and its mechanisms can be applied to any endeavor which is aimed at attaining that which is unknown.

It could be argued that the spiritual path is a series of questions within questions – puzzles embedded into puzzles. Spirit Cypher Paranormal grew from our mutual passion for deciphering these messages and meeting the challenges of these puzzles head-on. It is a natural extension of our shared desire to uncover the hidden truths of ourselves and our world. Our aim is to explore the many mysteries that life presents us and leave a tangible document of our shared experience.
